Description
This building is a folly located about 115 metres west of Scobitor Farmhouse, believed to have been constructed in 1868. It is made of granite rubble and features a saucer-shaped, cement-rendered roof. The structure consists of a short round tower, which may have been reduced in height, and it stands on a natural outcrop of rock. The folly includes a doorway and five windows of varying sizes, with two windows still showing remnants of wooden frames. Inside, there is a thick, round stone pillar at the center, from which heavy granite lintels extend to support the granite roof. This information comes from the owners of the house, based on a sale catalogue from 1929.
