Description

This is a circa 16th/17th century farmhouse constructed of granite rubble with granite dressings, and featuring a slate roof with hipped and gabled ends. The building has two storeys and an attic, and originally had a four-window range. A gabled porch wing projects centrally, also with two storeys and an attic, and incorporates a large chimney stack to one side. The original windows were three-light, hollow-chamfered stone mullion windows with hoodmolds; those on the right-hand side have been replaced with later casements. A fielded panel door is present, with the original granite door seemingly reused within the wall adjoining the west side. Rendered chimneystacks are visible on the rear wall. Adjacent to the main farmhouse is a parallel range at the rear, now used as a cider house. This range incorporates two moulded four-centred arch doorways and contains some original stone mullion windows, and is constructed of rubble, partly rendered.
