Description
Ash House, located immediately west of Hedge Barton Farmhouse, is a possibly 18th-century structure. It is built of granite rubble and features a corbelled granite roof that is covered with dry slate. The building has a circular plan and includes a loading hatch that is accessible from the farmhouse by steps, with a door located on the opposite side. This large single-storey ash house has a conical roof, and granite steps lead to a high window that is topped with a granite lintel. The door on the opposite side also features a granite lintel. Inside, there is a slight shelf at the top of the walls, and below the window, there is a blocked opening that may have been the original window.
