Description

This is a chest tomb located approximately 4 metres north-west of the aisle of the Church of St Michael. It is likely from the late 16th century or early 17th century and is made of granite ashlar. Each side features a 3-bay blind arcade of round-headed niches, with one similar niche at each end. The tomb has inscribed voussoirs around each head and a large soffit-moulded lid. Any inscription that may have been on the lid has worn away over time.
