Description
The direction post at the road fork at Willis's Crossroads is an early 19th-century structure made of granite. It has a roughly oblong shape, with the south face slightly splayed to align with the angle of Lounston Road. The top of the post is shaped, and it features carved inscriptions. The south face indicates "TO ASHBURTON," the south-east face reads "TO NEWTON," and the north-east face states "TO ILSINGTON." The letters are highlighted in black.
