Description

Glaze Brook Bridge is a road bridge that spans Glaze Brook, dating from around the mid 19th century. It is constructed of granite ashlar and features a rusticated granite segmental arch. The bridge has a string course and a parapet that curves outward over the abutments, which are topped with chamfered coping. There has been a bridge at this location since the early Middle Ages, but the current structure differs from the one described by James Green in the early 19th century, leading to the assumption that this bridge was built in the mid 19th century.
