Description

This headstone, located approximately 1.5 metres east of the chancel of the Church of St Mary, dates from the early to mid-18th century and commemorates William and Ann Langmead. The upright slab stands about 700mm tall and features twin round beads, each containing a winged cherub's head. It is inscribed with large Roman serif letters, both upper and lower case, detailing the deaths of William and Ann Langmead, although the specific dates of their deaths are not visible.
