Description

Perrymans Cottage is likely an 18th-century cottage situated in Belstone. It is constructed from granite stone rubble, with cob on the wall tops, and has a thatched roof. The granite stack has a plastered top, likely brick. Originally, the cottage comprised two rooms arranged facing north-east, with a stack to heat the left-hand room. It is two storeys in height. The front of the cottage has an irregular arrangement of windows; two on the ground floor and one above, all fitted with 20th-century casements featuring glazing bars. A contemporary gabled and slate-roofed porch shelters the central front doorway, which contains a 20th-century door. The roof is gable-ended on the left-hand side and half-hipped on the right. The interior was not accessible for inspection.
