Description
This is a barn located approximately 10 metres north-north-west of Cossick Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It features granite rubble walls with larger quoins and a corrugated asbestos roof with gable ends. The barn has a long rectangular plan that may include two threshing floors. It is a single-storey structure with double doorways positioned to the left and right of the centre; the left-hand doorway is taller, and both have wooden lintels. An outshut is attached at the left end, which contains a datestone from 1710. The barn is built against a bank at the rear and is included for its group value, forming a group with Cossick Farmhouse and the shippon/granary.
