Description
Horrabridge Bridge is a historic bridge over the River Walkham, dating from around 1400, with some later repairs. It features squared granite rubble footings and granite random rubble with dressings, along with partially replaced coping on the parapet wall. The bridge has three spans with irregular pointed arches and two triangular cutwaters that create refuges on each side. To the west, there is a large central block of granite in masonry, with drainage holes at road level. The bridge spans approximately 17 metres and is about 4 metres wide. The parapet wall stands about 1.5 metres high, splaying at the north end about 8 metres beyond the bridge and continuing south for about 25 metres as a boundary wall.
