Description

Vinetree Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, located in Teddington Village. The early range features square-panelled timber framing with tension bracing and rendered infill, set on a coursed squared and dressed limestone plinth. The 18th-century range is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone and brick, also resting on a limestone plinth, with brick stacks and a slate roof. The timber-framed section was likely originally thatched. The building has a rectangular 17th-century range and an 'L'-shaped 18th-century range, creating an overall 'L'-shaped plan. The early range is two storeys high, while the 18th-century range has two storeys and an attic.

The early range includes a 3-light wooden casement window with horizontal glazing bars and a single-light casement. There are two large 20th-century slate-hung roof dormers, and a six-panel door with the upper two panels glazed on the lower right. The rear features a 20th-century two-light casement, an early plank door, and a 2-light roof dormer. The 18th-century range has brick-built south and east-facing elevations, with two 3-light segmental-headed casements on the south front and two similar 4-light casements on the east-facing elevation. The west-facing elevation, which faces the road, has two 3-light wooden casements, a tall 8-light stairlight with leaded panes, and a 20th-century glass door with glazing bars. The 18th-century range also features a brick dentil cornice, projecting gable end, and gable-end and axial stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
