Description
Leasow House is a former farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with a porch added in the early 19th century and window glazing and opening lights updated in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed, roughly squared stone and has a stone slate roof.
The front of the house features three windows and is one room deep, designed in an L-shape over two and a half storeys. The ground floor has a plinth and a central fully glazed door with a rectangular light above it, all sheltered by a porch with a tent-shaped lead roof and a wrought-iron frame. There are four-light mullioned windows on either side of the door, each with a king mullion, and a moulded string course that acts as a hoodmould, with steps leading up to the door.
On the first floor, there is a 2-light mullioned window in the center and 3-light mullioned windows on either side, with a moulded string course just below the eaves serving as a hoodmould. The gables are parapeted and feature gable chimneys made of ashlar, with moulded strings and caps. The house also has three gabled dormers, each containing a 2-light casement window. The string courses do not return on the gables.
