Description

This is a chest tomb dedicated to William and Anne Terret, who both died in 1736. It is located in the churchyard of the Church of St. John the Baptist, approximately 4 metres north of the nave. The tomb is made of sandstone and siltstone and features fielded siltstone inscription panels on the sides, which are eroded on the north side. The panels are flanked by fluted rectangular sections, and the tomb has a thick capping with a moulded margin.
