Description
The Hoo House is a house from the early 19th century with later alterations. It features pebbledash on brickwork, smooth render around the openings and porch, a tiled roof, and a smooth render rear wing with a slate roof. The building has a two-room front and a slightly lower rear wing, both standing two storeys tall.
The front of the house has two symmetrically placed arched recesses that extend through both floors, each with a four-centred head. The smooth render plinth supports a central, single-storey porch that has a half-glazed door and a shaped wooden gable projecting above it. On either side of the porch, there are three-light casement windows with four-centred arches, and above these, similar two-light windows are set in the recesses. The house is finished with dentil eaves, a hipped roof, and a central ridge chimney.
