Description
Rudgeway Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the 17th century. It features square-panelled timber-framing with painted brick infill, and some areas have been rebuilt in brick that is painted to imitate timber framing. The ground floor of the rear extension is made of stone, while the upper floor retains square-panelled timber framing. The farmhouse has a red tile roof with a brick stack and an 'L'-shaped plan. The main body of the house is two storeys high and has a garden front with two windows, all of which are three-light casements, some with leaded panes. There is a porch at the rear with a four-light oriel window on the upper left, supported by a single wooden bracket that features incised flower decoration. To the right of the porch, there is a two-light 20th-century casement window with glazing bars, set within a shouldered brick surround with a keystone. A band runs between the floors, and there is a stack off the ridge. A 20th-century extension is present but is not of special interest.
