Description

The Easthope monument is a chest tomb located approximately 2 meters north of the nave wall of the Abbey Church in Tewkesbury. It commemorates Elizabeth Easthope, who died in 1823. The tomb is made of sandstone and features a flat ledger with moulded edges. It has raised panels on the long sides and recessed end panels, which are adorned with a cornice and base mould. The entire structure rests on a cavetto base and a high raised platform supported by orthostat slabs.
