Description
Kilcott Mill is a corn mill that dates from the late 17th century and was altered and extended in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of rubble with a Cotswold stone slate roof and stands two stories high. The ground floor features three windows and three doors, while the first floor has four windows and a loft door. The windows are 20th-century two-light casements, and the doors are made of planks. To the left of the mill is a two-bay stable with a hay loft above, and to the right is a one-bay cottage that has a bread oven projecting from its end gable.
Inside, the mill is a fully working water-powered corn mill, retaining 90% of its original machinery. The water wheel dates from the early to mid-18th century, and most of the other machinery is from the early to mid-19th century.
