Description

Hillside Terrace is a former row of four houses, now converted into two houses, dating from the early 18th century with 19th-century alterations. The building is constructed of coursed and dressed rubble limestone, featuring ashlar chimneys and a stone slate roof. It is two stories high with an attic.

The front of the building showcases two early 18th-century houses at the center of the row, which have chamfered mullioned windows. These windows are arranged in single, two, and three-light groupings, all under a combined hoodmould on the upper floor. Each house has a central 19th-century square single-storey porch addition, complete with a dentil cornice and flat parapet roofs. At each end of the row, there are 19th-century additions, with single-window fenestration on the left and two-window fenestration on the right.

The roof features three ridge-mounted ashlar chimneys with plain caps and six gabled roof dormers fitted with 20th-century casements. At the west end, there is a 19th-century inscribed corner stone that reads 'HILLSIDE TERRACE' on two faces. The building is set into a bank at the rear. The interiors have not been inspected.
