Description
The Former Pike House is a small building that dates from the early 19th century and is now a private residence. It is constructed of random coursed rubble stone, featuring tooled stone rusticated and chamfered alternating quoins, a string course, and an embattled parapet. The roof is not visible, and there are no chimneys. The building is square in shape and has a 20th-century brick lean-to at the rear. It has two storeys, with a single pointed arch opening centrally placed on each floor on each side and the front. These openings are framed with dressed stone voussoirs and an enlarged keystone. On the south side, there is a studded plank door, while the remaining openings consist of 2-light wood mullion windows with fixed lights in pointed arches, some of which still retain their original lattice work.
