Description
The former stable building, located immediately to the southeast of Mobley Farmhouse, dates back to the 18th century and was used for agricultural purposes. It is constructed of brick on a high rubble stone plinth and features a pantile roof. The building is single storey with a loft.
On the north side, there are two segmental brick arches that house small leaded and partially blocked two-light casement windows, along with a plank door. There is a second plank door beneath a wide timber lintel, and two small windows with timber lintels, one of which is partially blocked and located in a blocked doorway. The east end of the building has a pitch hole.
The south side features two small gables; the left gable has a pitch hole, while the right gable has an external brick stair leading up to a door, with an arched opening below that likely served as a former kennel. The south side is primarily constructed of brick, with only a limited amount of rubble walling. This building is included mainly for its group value with Mobley Farmhouse.
