Description
Numbers 1 to 10, Rowcroft, are an 18th-century ashlar-built terrace. The buildings have slate roofs, two storeys and attics, a moulded eaves cornice, and a blocking course that steps progressively up the hill. Each range features a set of double-hung sash windows. The doors have plain architraves and fanlights. Numbers 4 and 10 are distinguished by crowning pediments with circular windows set within the tympana. Number 10 also has a two-storey extension that projects forward in the centre, featuring a range of tripartite double-hung sash windows, crowning cornices, and sills resting on consoles. Numbers 1 to 11, together with the raised pavement and railings, form a notable group. The railings are included in the listing for their contribution to the overall group value.
