Description

Upper Birches is a 17th-century building with an 18th-century front, located on Folly Lane. The structure is built of coursed rubble, with an ashlar front. It is topped by a modern pitched roof and features ashlar chimneys. The building is two storeys high. The front elevation has a plain string course, a moulded cornice, and a blocking course. It contains three double-hung sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor, one French window, and two modern casements on the ground floor. The rear elevation displays two ranges of mullioned casements, partially hidden by a modern extension to Birches Green Cottage.
