Description
Walk Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the 17th century. It was cased in brick in the 19th century and has been enlarged to the right. The building features painted brick-faced timber framing and a tile roof, with former brick end stacks; the stack to the right is now on the ridge. The farmhouse is L-shaped with an additional wing to the right that extends backwards, topped with a catslide roof over a rear outshut. It has two storeys and an attic. Originally, there were three windows, plus a fourth to the right of a straight joint in the brickwork. The ground floor and the first floor to the right have paired wood casements under cambered heads. The central entrance features a six-panel door with four bolection panels and the top two panels glazed, along with a 19th-century gabled porch hood supported by struts. There are two gabled dormers on the original range, with an additional dormer to the right, all featuring 20th-century two-light windows.
