Description
The granary, located 25 meters east of Paradise House, is an early 19th-century structure that may also have served as a gazebo. It is constructed of fine limestone ashlar with a stone slate roof and is a small square building set into a slope, featuring a hipped roof. The entrance is at first floor level, facing the house, and consists of a pointed doorway flanked by two lancet openings, with two additional lancets positioned closer to the center. The far side of the building has three storeys, with a central circular stone column supporting a full-width wood lintel, which was originally an open shelter but is now glazed. Above this, there is a single two-light wood casement window on both the first and second floors. On the south side, there is a glazed two-leaf door leading to the second floor. The eaves cornice appears to be made of concrete. This unusual little building is cleverly integrated into the varied ground levels.
