Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb dating from the early 18th century, located approximately 10 meters southeast of the south porch of the Parish Church of St George. The tomb is made of limestone and features a thick top with a rounded edge and a bold cyma. The base was concealed at the time of the survey. It has baroque lyre ends and panels that are inset with foliate decoration, although the details are not legible. At the time of the survey, the tomb was partially sunk and broken, but it remains of architectural interest. It is situated about 3 meters east of the John Phillimore memorial from 1738.
