Description
This lodge, located approximately 250 meters northwest of Stroud Court, dates from the early 19th century. It features an ashlar front with coursed rubble on the sides and rear, and has a rebuilt chimney made of artificial stone. The roof is covered with asbestos slate. The building is two stories tall and includes a cellar.
On the north front, there is a large round-arched recess that contains a pedimented doorway flanked by tapering monolithic columns. There are signs of a small window that was originally situated above the doorway, but it has since been blocked. The roof is hipped. The sides of the lodge have two window sash arrangements, with 9-pane sashes on the ground floor of the west side and 6-pane sashes above. The upper floor sashes on the east side have been altered to 9-pane, and there are roughcast rendered half gables above them. The interior has not been inspected.
