Description

These are early 19th-century cottages constructed of hammer-dressed rubble with a pitched stone roof. The cottages are arranged in two ranges, and extend to two storeys and attics. Each range has segment-headed casement windows with glazing bars; No. 2 has leaded windows, and each range has one attic dormer with a casement window and glazing bars, except for No. 4. Segment-headed planked doors are present at each cottage. Mid-19th century iron railings run in front of Nos. 2 to 4. The listed buildings in The Butts form a group of group value.
