Description

The Champion memorial is a tall chest tomb dating from the late 18th century, located approximately 10 meters east of the south porch of the Parish Church of St George. It is made of limestone and features a moulded cornice and base, small quarter-balusters, and large elliptical raised inscription panels. The memorial commemorates Josias Champion, who died in 1785. At the time of the survey, the tomb was noted to be in a state of disrepair.
