Description
The dovecote, located approximately 40 meters west of the mansion, is a medieval structure built from random rubble limestone. At the time of the survey in June 1986, the stone slate roof was mostly missing. The dovecote has a circular shape with simple external walls featuring two square-headed doorways. There is a projecting eaves course with vertical slit vents positioned just below it. An octagonal timber lantern with a conical roof was also missing. Inside, the walls are lined with rows of pigeon holes. This dovecote is part of a group that includes a granary. The building in its complete state is illustrated in a Country Life article from December 1, 1900.
