Description
This stable, located approximately 50 meters south west of Upper Througham Farmhouse, dates from 1787, as indicated by the datestone 'JE 1787'. It is constructed from random rubble limestone and features a stone slate roof. The building has a rectangular shape and includes a central segmental arched stable doorway with plank doors. There are stone steps leading to a loft doorway at the west gable end, which has a landing with a projecting nosing and a casement window above it, featuring a concrete lintel. On the south side, there is a central round arched casement. The west gable end is topped with a ball finial, while a weathervane is positioned on the east side.
