Description

The Hillman monument is located in the churchyard, approximately 30 meters southeast of the chancel arch. This memorial is a monolithic slab made of limestone, featuring a brass plate. The last date inscribed on the monument is 1797, and the plate was made by Cook of Minchinhampton. The slab is set on a raised base and has an oval plate let into its face, inscribed to the son and daughters of Nathaniel and Sarah Hillman. This monument is a good example of the local memorial type.
