Description
10 and 11 Potters Pond is a large detached dwelling dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of rubble with a concrete tile roof and features a heavy wooden modillion cornice. The building has an L-shaped layout with an additional extension at the rear on the right side. Until recently, it functioned as two separate dwellings.
The property has two brick chimney stacks and is two storeys high, plus a roof storey that is only lit from the gables. The facade has six windows, with the top floor featuring three-light casements, while the ground floor has two-light windows with a transom, all under wooden lintels. Each window has stooled stone cills that exhibit very steep weathering. There is a small two-light casement on the left gable and two very small two-light openings with a diagonal mullion on the right gable, which serves the stairwell.
The entrance features two broad panelled doors set in wide surrounds; the door to number 10 is decorated with a small chevron design on the frame. Inside, the building has a heavy framed roof with collar and tie beams, some wide board floors, and 18th-century panelled doors.
