Description
Little Thatch is a former house, now a restaurant, dating from the early 17th century. It is timber framed with mostly brick infill, a brick chimney, and a plain tile roof. The building is single-storey with an attic and has an L-shaped plan.
The west front features timber framing with some diagonal bracing and scattered 20th-century casements. There are two large timber framed gabled roof dormers with leaded casements. To the right, there is a brick addition with applied timber framing that is not of special interest.
On the north side, there is a half hipped timber framed gable end to the right with scattered small framing that leans inwards. This side includes a small leaded attic casement and small framing on a rear wing running left, which has two leaded casements. There is also a 20th-century raking dormer at the rear of the front range and a small 20th-century addition in the angle. The ridge-mounted brick chimney is now partly dismantled but was formerly made up of three diagonal brick shafts. To the left, there is a large flat-roofed addition that is not of special interest.
The east side has a timber framed gable above the flat-roofed addition.
