Description

The Yew Tree is an early 19th-century public house located on the west side of Church Square in Blakeney. Built of painted rubble with a Welsh slate roof, it is a broad, prominent building set back from the street and facing the west end of the church. The building has gable stacks and a third stack off-centre left of the door. The main two-storey section has a 2 plus 2-windowed facade, featuring sash windows with glazing bars. A wide central blank wall area is present. A central wide plank door is fitted with a modern hood supported by brackets. A single-storey wing, located to the right, abuts adjoining cottages. A smaller wing extends to the back right, and a later projection extends forward to the right.
