Description
These are a pair of semi-detached houses built in the mid-19th century. The front of the houses is constructed from carefully-tooled squared stone, resembling ashlar, with a visible margin around each stone; the sides are of squared stone laid in a less regular pattern. They have a tiled roof. The houses are symmetrical, with one window each, and a single storey plus attics, with a later single-storey extension at the rear. Each house has a front door at its end, featuring six panels and set within a four-centred arch with a hoodmould above. The windows are casement windows with two lights, framed with cast iron in a diamond pattern, and also have a hoodmould with a deep drop at the ends. Above, each house has a single dormer window. The gables have copings, projecting kneelers, and a ball finial at the apex, with a similar main gable. A central chimney has a square base with four flues set in a diamond pattern; it has been rebuilt using brick and concrete block.
