Description
Limbury is a 17th-century farmhouse featuring a stone plinth and timber-framed walls with a tiled roof. The building has an 'L' plan layout, with each wing consisting of two bays that extend beyond a common corner bay. The right gable includes brick nogged framing, with two panels high on each floor. On the ground floor, there is a two-light wooden casement window with weatherboarding above it, and a similar-sized opening above that has been infilled with brick. The gable truss has two collars and curved struts at the apex.
On the left side, there is a two-light casement window with an iron opening light to the right, and a door to the left, leading to a covered lean-to open timber porch in the corner. Above this, there is another two-light window on the right and a 20th-century casement window on the left. The left wing has a stone plinth that reaches the mid-rail level of the right wing, with a 20th-century two-light casement window on the left, an earlier window above it with an iron opening light, and a narrow light at mid-level on the right. The centre-rail to the first floor is slightly raised in part of the right-hand bay. The interior has not been inspected.
