Description

The Boyce Monument is a late 18th-century pedestal tomb located about 6 meters southeast of the porch in the churchyard of the Church of St. Michael and All Angels in Blaisdon Village. It is made of stone and features a flat lid with a moulded edge, topped by a flat pyramid. The monument has a fluted frieze and raised fielded panels on each face for inscriptions, which have segmental tops, all resting above a moulded base. The earliest inscription is for Thomas Boyce, who died in 1792, with other inscriptions recorded, the latest being from 1830.
