Description
The Green is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed from roughly coursed and squared thin-bedded stone, featuring larger quoins and a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and three windows wide, with a layout that is two rooms deep. The front entrance consists of a six-panel door, with the upper panels fielded and the lowest flush, accessed by three stone steps. An open-work porch with a tent roof shelters the entrance.
On either side of the door are three-light mullion and transom windows, equipped with iron opening casements and painted stone voussoirs that form cambered arches. To the right, there is a cellar window with a cambered head. The first-floor windows mirror those below at the ends, while a two-light window is situated in the center. The farmhouse features wide, flat eaves and a hipped roof with lead hips, along with tall, plain brick chimney stacks at each end.
