Description
The Bullock Monument is a chest tomb located about 4.5 meters south of the porch in the churchyard of the Church of St. Michael and All Angels in Blaisdon. It commemorates George Bullock of Standley, who died in 1766. The tomb is made of stone and features a plain lid with a moulded edge. It has panelled pilasters at the corners. On the west face, there are two cherub's heads with wings, while the east face displays laurel leaves emerging from behind a ring, above a scrolled base. The south face is decorated with scrolls that form the ends of an inscribed panel. The north face is largely obscured by an adjacent tomb. All carvings on the monument are strongly executed.
