Description

The boundary wall and gate piers in front of Bourton House date from the 18th century and are constructed of ashlar limestone. The wall extends approximately 80 meters from the former stable block to the left of Bourton House, rising to about 3 meters in height. There is a single opening on the far left and a double opening to the right, which is flanked by square piers topped with moulded modillioned capping and ball finials. A matching pair of gate piers is located flanking the double opening on the far right, with triangular capping on the wall to the right of these piers. All openings feature 19th-century panelled doors.
