Description
No. 35 and the adjoining building to the left are originally two small buildings that were combined under a single roof in the 19th century. The building on the right, No. 35, dates from the late 17th century, while the one on the left is probably from the mid-18th century. They are constructed from random coursed rubble stone, featuring flush quoins on the right and around the windows on the left, topped with a slate roof.
The structure has two storeys. No. 35 showcases two moulded stone mullion and transom windows, which still have remnants of a dripmould above them, along with an early 19th-century shop front that includes a central door flanked by wooden panelled pilasters and consoles, all set on a stone plinth. In the centre, there is a wide square arch with double doors, and a very small pointed arch stone window with a hoodmould above. To the left, there are three plate glass sash windows on the first floor, while the ground floor features a 20th-century shop front. This section of the building is noted as having no special interest.
