Description
No. 24 Long Street is a small house from the early 18th century, positioned slightly forward from the building line on a partial corner site. It is constructed of random coursed rubble stone set on a cemented plinth, topped with a parapet and a Cotswold stone slate roof. The house features a large brick stack on the right side of the front range and a stone end stack on the left side of the rear range. The building is arranged in a double range and has three storeys.
There are two windows on the front, which are 12-pane sashes with stone lintels, while the second floor has a 6-pane window. The ground floor includes a central triple sash window and a door to the right, which is set in a reveal and has four flush panels with two glazed top panels. The left-hand return of the house has one sash window on each floor, though these vary in style.
