Description
This is a barn located about 5 meters south of Hyde, dating from the 17th to early 18th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and has a limestone slate roof. The barn has a rectangular plan with a small outshut on the front left side. It stands two storeys tall, with a single-storey outshut that projects forward on the left. There are plank doors to the right of the outshut and double doors further right, along with tallet steps leading up to the plank door. The structure features blocked and open triangular ventilation holes, and there is a south-ended tie plate to the right of the tallet steps. Inside, the barn consists of five bays, showcasing original tie and collar trusses with queen posts extending from the tie to the collar, as well as carpenters' marks.
