Description

Windrush House is a house dated 1827, though it likely incorporates alterations to an 18th-century structure. The exterior is of rubble, rendered with roughcast, and has a half-hipped Cotswold stone roof with coped verges. It is two storeys high with three windows. The windows are 3-light leaded lattice casements with elliptical heads; the two outer ground floor windows feature tympana, creating a Venetian effect. All windows are set well in from the end walls, with those rooms lit by windows in the gable walls. A panelled door is sheltered by a rustic porch. Projecting outhouse wings extend from either end. The left-hand gable return features a 20th-century porch and door. A keystone of a blocked earlier doorway bears the date 1827.
