Description
The Old New Inn is a building that likely dates back to the early 18th century, as evidenced by a sundial with the inscription 'Silas Wells 1712'. It has been significantly expanded in the late 19th century and altered in the 20th century. The structure is made of coursed rubble and features a Cotswold stone roof. The original section consists of two storeys and an attic, showcasing long and short chamfered quoins. It has two windows with segmental heads, keystones, and architraves above a modern bar entrance. There are also two 20th-century dormers with lattice casements and stone ridge stacks. The late 19th-century addition has a 1:2:1 bay arrangement with large gables on the outer bays, stone mullioned windows, and large canted bays at either end, along with gabled dormers and stone stacks. Inside, there is a large inglenook fireplace in the hall.
