Description

Nethercote Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse, with a date inscription "C.T.S. 1689" above the left-hand first-floor window. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a Bradstone roof. The farmhouse is two storeys and an attic, with a five-window front and three gables. It features three-light stone mullion casement windows with drip moulds; two-light windows appear in each gable, and a single light is situated above the doorways. Plank doors are set between each gable to the left. The right-hand door has a modern lobby and leaf keystone with angled imposts, and is covered by a plain flat arch with a drip mould. The gables are coped with finials, and there are ashlar ridge stacks. An addition was made to the rear of the property in 1949. The inscription refers to Thomas Collett.
