Description
Rosebank is a former pair of cottages that have been combined into one dwelling. It dates from the late 17th century to the mid-18th century, with some 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed of limestone rubble with dressed quoins and features a stone slate roof. It has a long rectangular plan that steps down the slope, with a main 20th-century extension at the left end.
The lower cottage is two storeys tall and has a single-storey 20th-century extension at the rear. The front features two-light, double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements, along with a two-light steel casement in the upper right. There is a 20th-century plank door located off-centre to the left, topped with a timber lintel.
The higher-level cottage is 1½ storeys and has small half-dormers, each with two-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements. A three-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement with a stopped hood lights the ground floor. There is a 20th-century studded door located lower right, which is likely not an original opening. The gable end of the 20th-century extension on the far left features two and three-light stone-mullioned casements and a glazed door. All windows are fitted with leaded panes.
