Description
Orchard Close is a semi-detached house located in Hazleton Salperton Village, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a concrete tile roof and features ashlar stacks, one of which was repaired in the 20th century. It has a rectangular plan and is two stories high with a three-windowed facade, which is illuminated by 2-light casements that include horizontal glazing bars.
At the front, there is a central 20th-century porch with a weather-boarded gable and double plank doors. A single-storey extension connects the house to Orchard Cottage. This extension is lit by a 2-light double-chamfered, stone-mullioned casement on the left and a 2-light casement with glazing bars set within a segmental-headed surround on the far right. The main body of the house features gable end stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
