Description

Moor Farmhouse is an early to mid-18th century farmhouse, extended to the south in the later 18th or early 19th century, with 20th-century additions to the front and rear. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with a stone slate roof, and features external stone stacks to the left, right end and as a ridge. The original main range was likely symmetrical, originally of two storeys and with an attic. There is a probable rear stair turret, and a later section to the south links with a small cottage of one storey and an attic at the south end. The front facade has three windows with three-light casements, timber lintels and renewed windows to the right. Three restored gabled dormers are above the eaves, also with paired casements. The ground floor has two similar three-light casements, originally flanking a central doorway which is now blocked at base, with paired casements and timber lintels. A renewed paired casement is located to the far right, alongside a 20th-century porch extension. The cottage end has two gabled dormers, 20th-century doors and windows on the ground floor, and a small gabled extension to the far right.
