Description

This is a house, originally built in the early to mid-18th century and later divided into two dwellings. It is located on the north side of Coxwell Street in Cirencester. The exterior is primarily of coursed limestone rubble, with remnants of old limewash, and features a stone slate roof. The right end and rear stacks are rebuilt in brick. The building has a through-passage plan and presents three gables to the rear. It is a single storey with an attic, and has five windows across the front. The windows are timber casements with two lights, set under exposed timber lintels with concrete sills. One window is blocked and formerly served as a doorway. Dormers with four similar two-light casements are present above. The right-hand side features a two-leaf plank door with a timber panel above, under an exposed timber lintel that aligns with the window to the far right, providing access to the through passage. 20th-century extensions have been added to the rear. The interior was not inspected.
